Welcome to Savia Rituals. To ensure that appointments, treatments, and communication run smoothly and clearly for both you and Savia Rituals, the following general terms and conditions apply.

1. About Savia Rituals

Savia Rituals is a business focused on relaxing and nurturing facial massages and body-oriented techniques.

The treatments offered by Savia Rituals include, among others:

  • Japanese facial massage

  • Buccal massage

  • Facial cupping

  • Honey connective tissue massage

The treatments are aimed at relaxation, care, and supporting the client's wellbeing. The treatments are not intended as a substitute for medical treatment, diagnosis, or care by a doctor or other medically qualified healthcare provider.

2. Appointments and Treatments

  1. An appointment is confirmed once it has been confirmed by Savia Rituals.

  2. By booking an appointment, the client agrees to these general terms and conditions.

  3. The client must arrive on time for the appointment so that the full treatment time can be used.

  4. If the client arrives late, the treatment time may be shortened so as not to delay subsequent appointments. The full agreed rate remains payable in that case.

  5. Savia Rituals reserves the right not to perform a treatment, or to adjust it, when circumstances arise that, in Savia Rituals' judgment, make it irresponsible to carry out the treatment.

3. Health and Personal Circumstances

  1. For a safe and appropriate treatment, it is important that the client provide relevant information about their own health and circumstances before the treatment.

  2. The client must report in advance any circumstances that may affect the treatment, such as health complaints, allergies, skin problems, recent cosmetic or medical treatments, medication use, pregnancy, or other relevant particulars.

  3. The client is responsible for providing accurate and complete information.

  4. In case of doubt about the suitability of a treatment, Savia Rituals may decide to adjust, postpone, or not perform the treatment.

  5. When a medical condition, treatment, or medication use may affect the treatment, Savia Rituals may advise the client to contact their treating doctor or specialist in advance.

  6. Failure to provide relevant information may result in a treatment not being performed, or not being performed in full.

  1. Specific contra-indications may apply to the various treatments.

  2. The client is responsible for reviewing the information about the chosen treatment in advance.

  3. In case of doubt about a contra-indication, the client is advised to contact Savia Rituals before the appointment.

  4. Savia Rituals may refuse a treatment when a contra-indication is present, or when the treatment is not, in its professional judgment, responsible to perform.

  5. The ultimate goal of this assessment is to make the treatment as safe and responsible as possible.

4. Contra-indications

  1. Every person responds differently to a massage or other treatment offered.

  2. Savia Rituals therefore cannot guarantee any specific result or outcome.

  3. Temporary redness, sensitivity, mild swelling, or other skin reactions may occur with certain techniques. The reaction varies by person and by treatment.

  4. In the case of persistent or severe complaints, the client should contact a doctor or other qualified healthcare provider.

  2. Savia Rituals therefore cannot guarantee any specific result or outcome.

  4. In the case of persistent or severe complaints, the client should contact a doctor or other qualified healthcare provider.

7. Liability

  1. Savia Rituals carries out treatments carefully and to the best of its knowledge and ability.

  2. Savia Rituals is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings that the client brings to the salon.

  3. The client is responsible for safely storing valuable items during the treatment.

  4. Savia Rituals is not liable for damage arising because the client provided incorrect or incomplete information about their own health or personal circumstances.

  5. Savia Rituals' liability is always limited to the extent permitted by law. The consumer's statutory rights remain fully in force.

8. Cancelling and Rescheduling Appointments

  1. An appointment can be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge if this is communicated at least 48 hours before the scheduled appointment.

  2. For cancellation or rescheduling within 48 hours of the appointment, 50% of the agreed treatment rate will be charged.

  3. For cancellation or rescheduling within 24 hours of the appointment, 100% of the agreed treatment rate will be charged.

  4. For failure to show up for an appointment without prior cancellation (no-show), the full treatment rate of 100% will be charged.

  5. Cancellation fees apply per booked treatment.

  6. If a treatment is part of a package, the treatment in question remains registered in the package if the appointment is not cancelled in time. In addition, depending on the timing of the cancellation, 50% or 100% of the relevant treatment rate may be charged.

  7. In special or unforeseen circumstances, Savia Rituals may, at its own discretion, decide to deviate from the above cancellation fees.

9. Payment

  1. Payment takes place before or after the treatment, depending on the payment method used by Savia Rituals.

  2. The client must pay the full amount due in a timely manner.

  3. Any costs arising from late payment may, to the extent permitted by law, be passed on to the client.

10. Complaints

  1. Savia Rituals considers it important that clients are satisfied with the treatment and service.

  2. If the client is not satisfied with a treatment, they are asked to report this as soon as possible.

  3. Complaints about a treatment should preferably be reported within 24 hours after the treatment, so that Savia Rituals can assess the situation as well as possible and work with the client to find a suitable solution.

  4. Reporting a complaint after this period does not mean that statutory consumer rights automatically lapse.

  5. Savia Rituals will carefully review a complaint and, where possible, work with the client to reach a suitable solution.

11. Privacy

  1. Savia Rituals handles clients' personal data with care.

  2. Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable privacy legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

  3. Data is used exclusively for purposes related to the service, such as making and managing appointments, communication, administration, and invoicing.

  4. Information about a client's health is treated confidentially and only processed when necessary for an appropriate and safe performance of the treatment, and to the extent legally permitted.

12. Changes

  1. Savia Rituals may amend these general terms and conditions when necessary, for example due to changes in the services or in laws and regulations.

  2. The most recent version of the general terms and conditions is available via the communication channels or website designated by Savia Rituals.

  3. For an existing appointment, in principle the version that applied at the time the appointment was made remains in effect, unless a legal obligation states otherwise.

13. Applicable Law

  1. Dutch law applies to these general terms and conditions and the agreement between Savia Rituals and the client.

  2. Savia Rituals and the client will first attempt to resolve any disputes amicably.

  3. If a dispute cannot be resolved between the parties, it may be submitted to the court with legal jurisdiction.

14. Final Provision

  1. If any provision of these general terms and conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in force. The relevant provision will, where possible, be replaced by a legally valid provision that best matches the original intent.
